Architecture Design Course Syllabus (AutoCAD + SketchUp + Revit + Lumion + Photoshop)

Course Overview

This 8-month online Architecture Design course is crafted for aspiring architects, interior designers, and visualizers. Students will master industry-standard tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, and Photoshop to learn architectural drafting, 3D modeling, visualization, and presentation techniques. The course blends technical skills with creative design thinking, preparing students for professional practice and portfolio development.

Basic Level (Months 1–2): Drafting, Design Basics & 2D Planning

  1. INTRODUCTION TO ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN & DRAFTING (Week 1–2)

  2. 2D DRAFTING – AUTOCAD (Week 3–5)

  3. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN & SPACE LAYOUTS (Week 6–7)
    – Residential/commercial layout planning
    – Area analysis, zoning basics
  4. PRESENTATION BOARDS – PHOTOSHOP (Week 8)
    – Graphic composition, material boards
    – Creating architectural mood boards and layout sheets.

Intermediate Level (Months 3–5): 3D Modeling, BIM & Design Development ​

  1. 3D MODELING – SKETCHUP (Week 9–11)
    – Massing models and conceptual forms
    – Modeling interiors, furniture, site plans
  2. BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING – REVIT (Week 12–13)
    – BIM workflow and parametric modeling
    – Modeling walls, roofs, windows, and stairs
  3. STRUCTURAL & DETAIL DRAWINGS (Week 14–15)
    – Sections, construction details, annotations
    – Scheduling and documentation in Revit
